Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Fyshha — the web app at app.fyshha.com, the Fyshha Setup app for Android and the Fyshha Setup program for Windows (together, the “App”) — collects, uses and protects your information. Fyshha lets you switch and monitor your own MTTL-W01 smart power strips and their outlets from anywhere. By using the App you agree to this policy.

Who operates Fyshha

Fyshha is a smart-home service for remotely controlling MTTL-W01 Wi-Fi power strips (the Korean-made “TONLY” model). It is built and operated by the Fyshha team in Egypt (“we”, “us”), the data controller responsible for the App and this policy.

  • Android setup app package name: com.fyshha.setup.
  • Sign in with Google: if you choose it, we receive your Google account email address and name to create or open your account. We never receive your Google password.

1. Information We Collect and How We Use It

We only collect what is needed to sign you in, run your strips and manage your subscription.

Account information

  • Email address, used as your account identifier to sign in and to send you account emails (verification and password-reset codes).
  • Password, used to authenticate you. It is stored only in a salted, hashed form on our server; we never store your password in plain text.
  • Optional display name and mobile phone number, used to label your account and to contact you about it.

Device and usage data (your strips)

  • The identifiers and names of the power strips linked to your account (for example the hardware MAC address and any name you give them), the names, icons and protection settings of their outlets, and your timers.
  • The state of each outlet (on or off), live power readings reported by the strip (voltage, current, power and energy), Wi-Fi signal strength, firmware version, and your trial and subscription dates.
  • The internet address (IP) your strip connects from, used to keep it linked to the right account and to help you find a new strip on your network.
  • This is used solely to show your strips and carry out the commands you make.

Payment information

  • When you pay for a subscription by transfer (Vodafone Cash) we collect the payment method, the sender’s wallet or phone number, the transfer reference and the receipt image you upload. We use it only to confirm the payment and activate your subscription. We do not collect card numbers.

Wi-Fi setup data (only during “Add a strip”)

  • To connect a new strip to your network, the Setup app reads nearby Wi-Fi network names and sends the home Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password you choose directly to the strip over its own temporary setup hotspot. Your Wi-Fi password is not transmitted to, or stored on, our servers.
  • On Android, scanning for the strip’s Wi-Fi requires the Location / Nearby devices permission. We use it only to find the strip’s network, and we do not collect or track your geographic location.
  • The Windows program temporarily changes the DNS setting of your computer’s network cable connection and starts a temporary Wi-Fi hotspot so your strip can reach Fyshha. Both are put back to their original state when it finishes.

Security logs

  • We keep a short log of important events (such as sign-ins and account changes) with the IP address they came from, for security and to prevent abuse.

Stored on your device

  • A sign-in token is kept in the App’s private storage on your device so you stay signed in. It is removed when you sign out, and it is only sent to our server to authenticate you.

2. App Permissions

  • Internet and network state, to communicate with the Fyshha server and your strips.
  • Location and Nearby Wi-Fi devices (Android setup app), required by Android to scan for and connect to a strip’s Wi-Fi during setup. Used only for that purpose.
  • Wi-Fi control (Android setup app), to join the strip’s temporary setup network and then return to your normal network.

3. Advertising and Analytics

Fyshha contains no advertising and does no third-party analytics or tracking. This website sets no tracking cookies and loads no fonts or scripts from other sites. We do not use advertising IDs, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

4. How Your Data Is Stored and Shared

Your account and strip data are stored on private servers operated by us, hosted with Oracle Cloud in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (outside Egypt). We do not share your personal information with third parties, except for the service providers needed to run Fyshha and where required by law:

  • Cloudflare, which serves this website and relays traffic to the application.
  • Resend, which delivers our account emails.
  • Google, only if you choose Sign in with Google.
  • Your browser’s push-notification service, only if you turn notifications on.

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information: passwords are stored hashed, sign-in tokens are kept in the App’s private storage, access to our servers is restricted, and traffic is encrypted in transit. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention and Your Choices

We keep your account and strip data for as long as your account is active. Detailed usage history and logs are kept only for a limited period and then removed. You may ask to see, correct or delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us (see below). When you delete your account, we keep a record of it for one year (your email, name, phone number, sign-up and deletion dates, the strips you had and the actions on them) for security, to prevent misuse and to resolve disputes, and then remove it. Payment records are kept as long as accounting requires.

7. Children’s Privacy

Fyshha is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised policy.
